Celebrating Our Youngest Learners

When I looked at the calendar in my kitchen today, I noticed 5 celebrations listed during the month of April. But, believe it or not, this didn’t even phase me. Whether it’s a personal special occasion like a birthday or a fun, silly “holiday” (international ice-cream day, anyone?), we are surrounded by celebrations. But the most exciting event on my calendar this month is neither. It’s one event that we particularly look forward to celebrating each year at our centers: the Week of the Young Child.

Each sprint, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrates early learning, young children, their teachers and families. Through fun, themed activities, the week explores the different ways we can engage our young learners and support them as they grow. What better way to celebrate your children?!? Check out NAEYC’s information on the week of the young child to learn about the fun activities planned nationwide!

Each of our centers celebrates the week in their own ways, and we are excited to share in these festivities with all of our families. Join us in celebrating our youngest learners! Follow us on Facebook, twitter and Instagram to get updates and pictures of our week of the young child events!
